Why does a Few Strands of my Hair Turn White?

I'm only 34 years old. I have thick black hair. Recently I noticed a few strands of my hair turning white! I'm not sure what caused this. Any suggestions how to solve this?

there is nothing wrong. it's just part of the aging process.

just pluck them out if they really bother you.

The cells in the roots of some of your hair strands have lost pigmentation. This is normal. There is no way to reverse the effect. All you can do is dye your hair.

means you're old.. lolz peace!

White hair? No solution.

Its called: Age or entropy or stress.

Well have you been doing something to make you fell old? If you sit around and do nothing you are making time go by and you are getting older by the minute. Wasting time is not good.

WELL ITS WHAT I THINK AND I STAY MOVIN AND I HAVE NO GRAY HAIRS

It could be stress. I'm younger than you and I get the odd white hair too when I'm really stressed out. But it could just be that you might be going grey - who knows. Did your parents start to get grey hair at your age? It's not really that uncommon... you can go to the drugstore and buy a rinse to cover it up if needed - no big deal!

old age maybe only joking anything can cause it stress it could be genetic

My 14-year-old son has had white hairs for at least a couple years--as long as it's been dark. My theory is that white hairs are to a head of hair as freckles are to skin--only in the case of hair it's hair without pigment whereas freckles are extra pigment. I think we all have them but the darker your hair is the more noticeable they are.

Has anyone beside you ever noticed? I doubt it. Don't bother with them unless they mount a takeover!

There is no solution. The 'greying' of your hair can be attributed to age, stress, genetics, chemical - perms, relaxers, colors,- or any number of other reasons. It is caused by the cells in the hair root dying. i think that every one has grey/white hair even children, however you only really notice them if they are on the hair line.

Unless they start to take over, leave your greys alone, im told that if you pluck them, they come back with friends!!! Even so, be proud of them! Wear them with dignity, they make you look mature (in a good sense).

I love the way that they look, especially if they are very white/grey and against healthy black hair.
