yes it can turn your hair white, but not overnight. It usually takes several months to years.

There have been cases where it occured in a few days, but rare and the trauma was usually severe...I'm sure there is a term for it but I don't know what it is.

Oh, and I mean that the roots start coming in white...the existing hair of course, wouldn't change as it is already formed and grown.

Yes it can. A friend of my mother-in-laws went through a really stressful time a few years back, all his hair, which was medium brown, fell out and when it grew back it was completely white.

It was so weird, took awhile to get used to seeing him with white hair!

I can't remember if his eyebrows were white or not....sorry!
