Sounds like latex or acrylic paint. If simple shamooing doesn't do it, try putting in a LOT of conditioner, combing it through your hair, and then rinsing it out; sometimes an "oily" substance helps loosen dried paint from the hair. Good luck!

If you have a set in grease stain, just spray the stain with WD-40 and let it sit about 20 minutes. Then, rub a dollop of liquid dish detergent (Dawn is a good one) onto the WD-40 stain and rub in well. Rinse and smear on a bit more dish detergent and then wash as usual in warm water.

You can pour a small amount on the soiled area. I like to use a spray bottle that you can buy at the grocery store, WalMart, $1 Stores, or etc. Just pour Era into the bottle and then spray onto the soiled area. Then put into the wash.

I don't think you left the bleach on long enough. When I go to the salon and get my roots touched up, if they don't leave it on long enough it turns gold. I would try a malibu treatment, then wait a day or so and try the bleach again. That would be the only way to get rid of the gold i'm thinking

yes. spray aerosol hairspray to saturate. When you put in wash, it should wash out. It may take a couple times and let the spray sit on there for a while before trying to wash. Spray works on pen ink also.

I have the same problem. Different brands of hair products work differently on curly hair. I've spent a fortune and found that the best is PANTENE:

1. Wash with shampoo with conditioner. Rinse.

2. Apply conditioner. Comb through with a wide-tooth comb. Rinse LIGHTLY. (don't rinse it all out).

3. Once a week, apply a deep conditioner.

DON'T towel dry your hair. DON'T use a hairdryer. DON'T brush your hair.

Just put a towel over your hair and SQUEEZE the water out. Put a little Pantene Styling Gel for Curls on the palm of one hand, rub your hands together, and then run it through your hair. Bend over and run your fingers through your hair to get out any knots. Then Scrinch your hair gently (you'll feel the curls forming) Stand upright and shake your head to let the curls fall naturally.

LET YOUR HAIR AIR DRY. When it's almost dry, run your fingers through it again to loosen up your curls and to make it as full as you want it. Spray it with hairspray.

I know it sounds like a lot of work, but it really only takes a few minutes plus drying time.

If you don't have time to wash your hair in the morning, do it right after school so it has time to completely dry. You can't sleep with wet hair or you'll never get the frizz out of it the next day. Washing my hair in the morning works best for me. I only wash it every third day. On the days I don't wash my hair, I put a wide tooth comb under running water and comb it through my hair. Then I scrinch it a little and spray it.

You will have to experiment to get it right for you. Also, it's a good idea to invest in a good haircut, but be sure to ask for a stylist who specializes in curly hair.

try using shampoo and conditioner for ethnic hair.not drug store stuff - use professional stuff. mizani products work well on one of my clients with your hair. however she is 43 years old and has only recently started to love her hair. you have a head start. shampoo.rinse well.towel dry (do not rub) conditioner 5 min. rinse with cool water. get your roots don't worry about the ends. use thick wide tooth comb on wet/damp hair. apply pomade or wet wax or styling glaze/creme. do not touch it when dry. and as someone else said only shampoo every 3 days or so.

I had long hair all my life until I turned 19. I cut off approx. 10 inches off my hair. (my family flipped) My hair felt wonderful after getting that all cut off.

If you want to keep your hair long than yes it would take some time to get all of the dead ends trimmed off and then start growing healthy again. You might just want to cut off 5 - 6 inches and start fresh. You will be suprised at the bouncy, thick hair that will be under that 5-6 inches.

Just remember that it does grow back! Good luck!!

going that far into platinum will absolutely turn your hair into swiss cheese. Don't do it! Go more for lightest blonde, and then add a touch of ash/violet to cool it off and give you the chic platinum look. Otherwise, buy a wig. BTW, it's well worth your time and money to have it done professionally. It's far less likely to break off and fall out if you have it done by an experienced professional.

But if you insist on not going,you're going to have to bleach the heck out of it,which may damage alot of it,depending on your previous condition.Once you bleach it up to pale yellow,you will need a toner.It sounds like you want one with a blue/violet base.You should be able to find all of the materials at a beauty supply store.

Also invest in a very deep hair masque-which is a deep conditioner-you will live on this stuff!!

It sounds like you might be coloring your hair too much? You should only be coloring your new growth every 4-6 weeks (meaning roots only) If you are doing the entire head and coloring over color that is why your hair is falling out. It is probably not falling out, maybe breaking off. That can be caused by over processing.

Also, what kind of color are you using? If you are buying a store color that contains alot of harsh chemicals that could be another bit of your problem. Those cheap store products are not doing hair any favors, the are very damaging.

You might want to try going to Sallys Beauty Supply and ask them to match you up w/ a Grey-Busters color, it is specially designed for grey-white hair. Also get a 10 vol. cream developer (you don't need anything stronger because you are depositing color not lifting) Get a color bottle for mixing %26amp; applying, gloves, a sectioning comb, clips to seperating the hair. Ask the person you talk to if they can show you how to section and just do roots. This will be alot better for your hair. The only thing is it may be very ackward to do the color yourself, maybe have your husband, older daughter or friend do it for you.

Also, only leave on the recommended time the directions say, leaving on longer does nothing but cause more damage to the hair.

Actually, when your hair starts to turn white/gray, there aren't just a few white hairs. All your hairs are turning white, even if you can't see them. Your hair produces something called melanin which makes your hair the color it is. When you see white hairs growing, it's because the melanin in your body has stopped being produced. So those hairs aren't just popping up to bother you, they are just new hairs growing and happen to be that color because you're new hair color is gray/white/silver, whatever you want to call it. I can't help you on why it is more coarse, that I'm not sure of.

my hair has been pretty well fried from constant bleaching, dyes and general abuse. it's getting stronger and has some elasticity again but- i want extremely blonde high lites now. i think i will go to a local salon to have them done but they have promised they can not obtain the exact color i want- which is like brook hogan whiteish blonde. if i go to the shop and have the high lites properly placed, what can i do at home to ensure it doesn't fall out AND achieve a more bold color?

It is time consuming, but it will ensure the best color in the end, you are taking a risk of making your hair fall out and if you keep abusing your hair you may make it to where it wont look right no matter what color you get. If you have to have it now and can't wait, alls you can do is take vitamins and condition like crazy to make it healthier, as for color boldness...it will be faded due to the health of your hair.

I've never heard of protein consumption changing the color of one's hair (naturally)...just old age (from dark to grey).

Your hair grows at a preprogrammed rate, but a healthy diet will assist in keeping the hair healthy so it grows at it's max rate and doesn't break easily. Also using quality haircare products helps with that as well.

I would sudgest dying it, I have one also and its a pigment discoloration wherre the hair grows (like a beauty mark) I color it ever few weeks hope this helps! (PS get the one that says will color over gray hair)

THe best thing to do is dye it. It won't be such a hassel bcuase its a small section. Even if you go to a salon it will probably be cheap bc of the size. Depending on your taste, you can also try styling it a certain way or growing out your hair some so that it is covered and you won't have to dye it continually.

please dont attempt this yourself. hairdressers no best when it comes to dying hair. there are so many people home-dying these days when they are advised not to, and they end up with a swollen face or hair falling out from an allergic reaction. hairdressers are professionals so let them loose on your hair, thats what they are there for.
