look a little closer. people in India, Africa, indonesians all have dark skin. They live in the southern hemisphere where the summers are long. Dark skin does protect you a little from the Sun. Northern hemisphere people lost their dark skin tone because most migrated extreme north and had a lot less exposure to the Sun

The melanin in African complexions adapt well to the sun due to the land being warm most year around. Anglo Saxon complexions adapt better to the cold, hence European countries like Iceland, Sweden,etc.

Its due to climate Hun! Because Africa is a very hot sunny continent peoples skin have adapted to protect it from the sun by darkening. this means that their skin absorbs the suns rays and is more resistant to burning. As Europe is a cooler climate less protection is need. If you've noticed the difference in the shape of noses as well its the same thing. Thin long noses are more common in cooler climates because it means the cool air takes longer to travel inside the body and so is warmer when it gets there.
