Firstly, you have to detertmine if you are brown, brunette or blond. The lighter you are the easier to turn white (pearl). If brown or brunetter more time and money will be needed to maintain the color. we have different colo pigment(melanin) which will determine how dark or light you are. Please take note that this is not permanent unless you go thru gene theraphy. You need to bleach out out your natural pigment to get rod of the dark(brown/red/copper/gold) undertone; which can take up to 3 to 5 process. Try to stay off scalp for the first few bleaching. Once you get to the last stage of bleaching, you need to pump in "neutral" tone to plump up the hair shaft so they do not look withered / dry. You also need to do roots touch up each when you natural hair start to show and line of demarkation is prominent. Daily maintenance includes washing hair with shampoo for blond to make the pearl look whiter as residue from shampoo can make the color look dull and/or brassy. Check out Gwen Stefani blond - mind you she is naturally brunette.

But if you need to have white hair just for a certain event, I would like to suggest that you use hair mascara to avoid all those long processes/ scalp burn from over process.
