Yes and no...

if you have really curly frizzy hair, it's not worth it because you'll have to go over it again and again, and it'll get damaged

but if you have wavy/straight hair, i say go for it.

Get the Chi ceramic hair straightener. It is expensive but it is the best one ever. It will starighten your hair no matter how curly it is and even if it is wet. It can be purchased from Trade Secret stores and runs about $125.00 but is warrantied. I have had mine for about 4 years now and have NEVER had a problem with it. It is better for your hair because it is ceramic. Sorry I have never heard of or seen the Revelon hair starightner. Get the Chi, I promise you'll love it!!

yeah it works good,

but it will not work in a matter of months.

i have a Remington T-Sudio straitner, and it has a four year warrintey on it and it works amazingly good.

I have the white one w/ red plates. I've had it since February and I haven't had any problems with it. It works just well as the last one I had and I paid 80.00 for that one.
