i almost wish i had African American hair cuz at least its got volume!!!! Embrace what you've got, its what God gave you. For a change, use a relaxer or straightener. My hair is straight and flat and i want curl and volume without the hours of labor that are involved in gettin it that way!!!!!!

dont know why african american hair is different from whites, but as an alternative instead of a relaxer you can get hot oil treatments, straighten it with a hot comb, flat irons etc.. you might want to get salon treatment to keep your hair looking healthy salons have the best brands ,expensive but well worth it

There is no product out there that will ever get African American hair the same was a white person's hair? Our hair is not made like that. Our hair grows out the roots of our scalp curly, being you can't do anything to change the shape or way of your hair follicle, African American hair will always be curly. Other than relaxers and straightening irons that's all there is to get black people's hair straight.

Huh? I'm pretty sure you have to have a relaxer to get the hair straight. There are so many cool beautiful things you can do with black hair that white people can not. Be happy with your hair. Maybe there are products that will make your hair silky. But I don't think you can ever get your hair to feel exactly like a white person's. Ask a professional hair stylist.

We do not have the same genes nor were we born on the same continent.

Theoretically, the reason why africans have thicker, more course hair is because it was used for protection from thorns and bushes when they were out in the bush hunting.

Caucasians tend to have more hair on other parts of their bodies (backs, arms and chests, etc.) because they are from more cold weather continents and they need more body hair for warmth.

There is nothing that can make AA hair like white hair. There are things like relaxers that can temporarily change the texture of AA hair but even then it is not like white hair. Try an asian straightener.

"Caucasian hair can be quite variable in its presentation with straight, wavy or curly hair. The fiber can be circular or oval in cross section and is on average thinner than Asian hair. Hair follicle density varies and density can be approximately related to hair color. Red haired people have the least dense scalp hair growth of Caucasians, blonds the most dense and brown haired people somewhere in the middle. Denstiy can range from 100,000-150,000 scalp hair follicles

African American hair is frequently tightly coiled, or spiral hair. In cross section it is elliptical or almost flat and ribbon-like in some cases. This means that there is more strength and rigidity to the fiber across the area of greatest cross section but the hair is much more pliable across the narrow section. This results in the curls of hair all naturally flexing and coiling along the ribbon while there is little or no coiling from side to side."

white peoples hair grow much faster because they can wash it everyday because there hair produces so much oil in one day as for black people our hair does not produce enough oil to wash it everyday thats why if black pople wash it everday it will breakoff.

one way for your hair to change textures is dont use so much oil and gel that will make your hair stiff. try to use jam instead if gel but still dont use a lot of Jam. never put baby oil or baby lotion on your hair thats the worst thing you could do.
