Tough call IMO. I mean they had the hair thing going but they were nothing like Warrant or Poison who IS a hair band.

A couple more hair bands IMO would be Ratt , Cinderella, and Kiss.

You're right. They were around during the 80's, and that's when "hair bands" were around. They all had big hair, just like the rest of the rockers.

Yes. Whitesnake was a "hair band", which is just another name for glam rock. It does not matter that they formed in 1977. Glam rock was around even before that. Hell, even Deep Purple (same vocalist) was glam rock. But the issue here is hair, and if you just take a look at some of the pictures of Whitesnake in the 80's, you'll see that they were definitely a hair band. See the photo at wikipedia.
